Curriculum Vitae

I was born in 1985 and grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania. Design caught my interest from the moment my parents bought our first computer in 1998. In fact, I remember using Hammerback then it was called Worldcraft to build levels for Half Life, the first PC game I owned. I dabbled in designing websites and setting them up on free hostsGeocities, RIP. In 2003, I started a computer repair businessawesomely named "Computer Ninjas" which won me an entrepreneurial scholarship from the McKelvey Foundation.

I attended Bucknell University from 2004 - 2008 where I studied PhysicsI switched it from a major to a minor junior year, Political Science, and History. While at Bucknell I worked at tech supportnot the student help desk! for four years. I also worked for the Safety Services department, where I maintained their website and regularly designed posters and flyers.

In my junior year, I became editor-in-chief of a campus magazine. I spent two semesters organizing writers, editing, laying out issues, and doing a ton of print design work.

After university, I worked for a non-profit called The Collegiate Network, which supports independent student journalists. During my eighteen months there I helped plan events and conferencesranging in size from 15 to 100 people and train students in journalism. I visited over 30 college campuses to meet with and advise newspaper staffs. I taught seminars and gave talks on social media, web design, and print design. I also redesigned the CN's website and created logos, ads, flyers, brochures, and reports.

Since then, I've been living in China and freelancing.
